Luodong Transfer Station was officially opened on September 5, 2013

  Luodong Transfer Station will be officially opened on September 5, 2024. From September 6, national highway passenger transport and urban bus routes will stop at the new transfer station. Related service facilities such as automobile and motorcycle parking lots and taxi pick-up stations will be changed to the new transfer station. The station provides services, and various passenger catering service manufacturers will be stationed in the station one after another to provide the public with better riding space and services.

 

  In order to provide county residents and tourists with more comfortable transfer space, and to cooperate with the development of surrounding cities and save public funds, County Mayor Lin Zhimiao led the county team to obtain subsidies for the central forward-looking infrastructure and highway public transportation diversified promotion plan, and approved the total funds. NT$ 1.063 billion (Central subsidy of NT$ 485 million yuan, county government self-raised NT$578 million yuan). Construction of two-story buildings above ground and underground on the urban planning "traffic land" on the east side of Guangrong Road began in 2018 and commissioned planning and design for the in-situ reconstruction of Luodong Transfer Station, and construction started in March 2023 and April 2024 Completed.

 

  After opening, the first floor of the transfer station will be used as a national highway passenger ticketing, waiting and transfer space. Taking into account the needs of different passengers, it will be equipped with shops, breastfeeding rooms, parent-child toilets, barrier-free care beds and other friendly facilities; the basement will be used as a parking lot. It facilitates public transport transfers and relieves surrounding parking needs; the second floor is used as administrative office space and drivers’ rest. The parking lot has a total of 498 car parking spaces and 1,202 motorcycle parking spaces. It is also equipped with smart parking service systems such as license plate recognition, electronic ticket charging and presence detection. It also integrates taxi scheduling areas, public pick-up and drop-off areas, and urban areas. Various transportation routes such as buses and pedestrian walkways provide people with more comfortable waiting and parking spaces.
