In cooperation with the Cultural Assets Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and the Yilan County Government, the Lanyang Museum launched the theme exhibition of prehistoric stone tools "Stones in the Han Dynasty - Guoding Blihun Han Dynasty Archaeological Site", which displays prehistoric cultural relics unearthed in Yilan Han Dynasty thousands of years ago. Let the audience understand how prehistoric ancestors used stones in their daily lives in an era without electricity and machines, uncover the wisdom and ingenuity of the Han people in using stones, and then explore the lifestyle and culture of prehistoric humans.
The nationally designated Blihun Han Dynasty archaeological site was discovered as a result of the Su Hua Reform Project. Its geographical location happens to be in the active area of the Taiwan plate movement, and the strata are of early age. Various stone materials are widely available, allowing the Han Dynasty ancestors to become masters of stone tool production. Among the relics unearthed at the Blihun Han Dynasty archaeological site, it can be found that from the houses where the ancestors lived, to the burial chambers where relatives were buried, to small living tools, decorations, etc., they are all made of rocks.
