The "2024 Winter Love in Lanyang Hot Spring Season" will be held from December 6th to December 15th for ten consecutive days, at the areas surrounding the Jiaoxi Tangweigou Hot Spring Park, including Wenquan Road and Jiankang Road. The event promises an exciting and lively atmosphere, making it the grand celebration of the winter season that warms the hearts, minds, and bodies of visitors to Lanyang each year.
The event will kick off on December 6th with a "Water Blessing and Gratitude Ceremony," organized by the Yilan County Hot Spring Industry Development Association. On December 7th, the "Jiaoxi Hot Spring Marathon" will warmly start, hosted by the Jiaoxi Township Office. The highlight of the season will be the "2024 Winter Love in Lanyang Hot Spring Season Opening and Street Parade Carnival" on December 8th. Nearly 50 groups will participate in the street parade, which will travel from Jiaoxi Wenquan Road to Jiaoxi Road, Yucai Road, Zhongshan Road, and other streets. This year’s theme, "Retro Fashion," is in line with the "2024-2025 Taiwan Good Hot Springs" initiative, inviting local industries, communities, schools, and groups in Yilan to throw a joyful party. Participants are encouraged to wear stylish retro outfits and stroll through the streets, experiencing the golden age of bygone years. Following the carnival, from December 9th to December 14th, there will be the "Happy Mini Parade" around Tangweigou Hot Spring Park, inviting everyone from across the country to join in the fun.
On December 15th, a "Hot Spring Concert" will be held at the intersection of Jiaoxi Wenquan Road and Jiankang Road, featuring performances by popular artists such as Chen Fangyu, Lin Xiaopei, JOCELYN 9.4.0, Qiu Jun, and GENBLUE Huán Lán Xiaoxióng. The concert will showcase a diverse range of music styles, sharing the emotional connection of the Winter Love Hot Spring Season and the charm of music.
The 2024 Winter Love in Lanyang Hot Spring Season will also feature stunning light installations. The romantic atmosphere created by the light art will combine the hot spring experience with local specialties, offering a unique space in the Tangweigou area. At the entrance of Tangweigou Park, a scene blending indigo dyeing culture and nature will be created, featuring a 5.9-meter tall welcoming hot spring giant dressed in Yilan-dyed clothing, dancing with a group of ducks. The aim is to immerse visitors in the relaxing effects of the hot springs while appreciating the beauty of traditional crafts, and to enjoy the visual feast created by the fusion of tradition and nature through light art installations.
Visitors will also encounter light sculptures paired with colorful light balls along the hot spring rest corridor, with the main theme light display of Winter Love in Lanyang Hot Spring Season, highlighting the wellness, relaxation, and health-oriented nature of the event. The light sculptures will feature the hot spring giant ascending Matcha Mountain, emphasizing the event's focus on well-being and relaxation.
The 2024 Winter Love in Lanyang Hot Spring Season light display will run from November 26, 2024, to February 16, 2025, daily from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
